Rare Kirsten pipe made around the late 50's or early 60's. This is one of their experimental pipes of a new design. The removeable "ramrod" is installed in the endcap, not the bit. They made these in all 4 sizes of the day - S, M, L and A and they are very hard to come by.

This is a straight 7/16 inch ID. 3-3/4 inch long shank Kirsten Tobacco pipe. 
 
The aluminum body has no scratches or dents and is polished to new. The stem is the original - restored with New O-ring.  
 
The bowl is the original Large dark grain Kirsten with no bowl adapter. 
 
End cap/valve is different from any other - the ramrod slides into it with its own O-ring. 
 
Length: 5-1/2 inches. Bowl height-bottom of bowl to top of bowl: 1-3/8 inches. Bowl width at widest point: 1-11/16 inches. Chamber width :1-1/16- inch. depth: approx. 1-1/8 inch.
