This pipe is from the war years. There are not a lot of these around. Kirsten, like every else didnt have use of their regular machinist and also had to use a different grade of aluminum.  There are many slight difference, the cuts on the top of the pipes usually dont go all the way to the recess cut for the bowl. Sometimes there are slight miss cutes and there is always a very slight mottled apperance to the aluminum.  All were stamped PATS. & PATS. PEND.
Restored Kirsten L pipe with o-rings on both ends for ease of cleaning and a perfect seal.
This is a Straight 1/2 inch ID, 4 inch long shank Kirsten Tobacco pipe. 
 
Left side of aluminum body is stamped KIRSTEN. Bottom is stamped PATS.& PATS. PEND- L
The aluminum body is polished back to its original finish.
The bit is a new vulcanite, no bite or tooth marks with a new ramrod.

End cap / valve is new with o-rings.

Length: 6-5/8 inches. Bowl height-bottom of bowl to top of bowl: 1-3/8 inches. Bowl width at widest point: 1-5/8 inches. Chamber width:  1- inch. depth: approx. 1-1/8 inch.
